NANAIMO — Mounties are investigating after a gun was pulled during a robbery at the Bowen Road 7-Eleven.
Nanaimo RCMP say a man walked into the store around 3:45 a.m. Friday, pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash and cigarettes.
After the clerk handed over some money and smokes, the suspect took off running.
A police dog tracked the scent to nearby Pryde Avenue, but from there police believe the suspect got into a vehicle and the scent was lost.
