Life in prison for Nanaimo mill shooter Addison

Dec 2, 2016 | 12:17 PM

NANAIMO — Nanaimo mill shooter Kevin Addison has been sentenced to life in prison on all four of the charges he was found guilty of.

Justice Robin Baird handed down the sentence early this afternoon in a Nanaimo court room.

Addison, 50, will not be eligible for parole for 25 years and will be held in a federal facility. His life sentences will be served concurrently.

Addison killed two men and wounded two others during a shooting rampage at a Nanaimo mill in April 2014.

He was found guilty of two counts each of first degree murder and attempted murder in late September by a 12-member jury.

More to come.
