Man has life threatening injuries after 'altercation' in south Nanaimo home

NANAIMO — RCMP are releasing very few details after a man was found with life threatening injuries in a south Nanaimo home.

Nanaimo Mounties say they were called to a home in the 100 block of Haliburton Street around 8 p.m. Friday night. A man, 52, was unconscious after an altercation, according to police.

He was taken to Nanaimo Hospital and then moved to Victoria General by ambulance. Police have no update on the man's condition.

No arrests have been made, according to the release, however several people were interviewed by investigators.
