NANAIMO — In the BCHL, the Nanaimo Clippers fell 6-1 to the Chilliwack Chiefs Friday night at Frank Crane Arena. 

The Clippers are back on home ice Sunday afternoon when they host Merritt. Game time is 2 p.m.

Both the men’s and women’s VIU basketball teams were in action Friday night at home. The men dominated Douglas College 91-74. The women fell 59-52 to Douglas.

Both VIU teams will be in action today when they host Capilano at the VIU Gymnasium.

In PACWEST volleyball action, the men’s and women’s VIU teams were in action at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford Friday night. The men won in straight sets 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

The women also won in straight sets 25-16, 25-23, 25-23. Both volleyball teams will take on Columbia again this afternoon.
