NANAIMO — In the BCHL on Saturday night the Nanaimo Clippers lost 4-3 in double overtime to Salmon Arm at Frank Crane Arena.

The Clippers are back on the ice Tuesday when they face the Cowichan Valley Capitals in Duncan.

In the VIJHL, The Oceanside Generals snapped a three game losing streak with a 6-5 overtime win over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings. 

The Generals are back on the ice this afternoon when they host the Peninsula Panthers. Game time is 2:30 p.m. at Oceanside Place.

Both the VIU men’s and woman’s volleyball teams were in action on Saturday at Camosun College.

The men won in straight sets (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) meanwhile the women lost a five set battle to Camosun (25-22, 25-27, 25-19, 25-15, 15-12).

In men’s soccer action the Mariners defeated Capilano 4-1. The men are back on the pitch this afternoon when they host Quest at 2:30 p.m.
