Oct 15, 2016 | 11:18 PM

PENTICTON – They’re the streak breakers.

The Nanaimo Clippers have built up a three game winning streak by snapping the winning streaks of their opponents.

Last Saturday the Clippers ended Powell River’s seven game winning streak, Friday night they shut down Trail’s four game streak, and on Saturday they brought Penticton’s nine game streak to an end.

Evan DeBrouwer made 46 saves in the Clippers 3-0 road win.

Tristan Crozier had the only goal of the first period, and the game remained scoreless until Will LeNeave beat Matthew Robson to make it 2-0 early in the third.

Spencer Hewson added an empty netter to cap off a great night for the road team.

The final shots finished 46-17 for Penticton and the power plays finished 0/5 for the Clippers and 0/4 for the Vees.

Since the beginning of the 2015-16 season Penticton had been 30-1-1 on home ice.

There’s a short turnaround for Nanaimo with a date with Merritt at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
