NANAIMO — Trial dates have been set for a Qualicum Beach man accused of trying to kill his brother-in-law and a friend.

34-year-old Steven Robert Clark is scheduled to go on trial beginning on January 9 in Nanaimo on two counts of attempted murder.

His preliminary hearing is slated for December 6, while Clark’s week-long trial to be heard by judge alone in B.C. Supreme Court in Nanaimo gets started.

Clark, who is expected to enter a plea on the opening day of his trial, is accused in a pair of stabbings at a Qualicum Beach home last April.
