WINNIPEG — A teenager from western Manitoba is to be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to a terrorism charge.

The 17-year-old admitted on Monday to counselling the commission of an indictable offence at the direction of, or in association with, a terrorist group.

The teenager, who cannot be named, was 16 when he was arrested last November.

Crown attorney Ian Mahon and defence lawyer Saul Simmonds say they cannot release details of the case.
