VIU’s Dallas Jones wins first PACWEST golf tournament of the season

ABBOTSFORD — Dallas Jones of the VIU Mariners won the first PACWEST golf tournament of the year over the weekend.
 
He shot a 68 and a 71 for a two day total of 139 at Ledgeview Golf course in Abbotsford.
 
The Mariners were also the top team at the event, with a combined score of 589.
 
VIU was just one stroke better than their archrivals from Camosun, who finished second among six competing schools.
 
There are another three events left in the golf season, including the final tournament hosted by VIU on October 1 and 2.
