Ottawa receiver Chris Williams named CFL top performer for third straight week

TORONTO — Ottawa receiver Chris Williams has been named a CFL top performer for the third time in as many weeks, while Winnipeg cornerback Maurice Leggett and Edmonton slotback Adarius Bowman are also being recognized for their Week 3 performances.

Williams had 130 yards and three touchdowns as the Redblacks drew 26-26 with visiting Calgary on Friday.

Though three games, the New Mexico State product leads the league in receiving yards (493), receptions (25), and touchdowns (six).

Leggett had two picks, including his first career interception return for a touchdown, as Winnipeg earned its first win of the season with a 28-24 road win over Hamilton on Thursday.
